The QSFP28 transceiver provides 100GBase-BX throughput up to 20km over single-mode fiber (SMF) using a wavelength of 1310nmTx/1280nmRx via an LC connector. This bidirectional unit must be used with another transceiver or network appliance of complimenting wavelengths. The module converts 4 input channels of 25Gb/s electrical data to 4 CWDM optical signals and multiplexes them into a single channel for 100Gb/s optical transmission.
