Standard 12-Color Sequence

The TIA-598-C standard defines the following 12-color sequence for individual fiber strands:

  1. Blue
  2. Orange
  3. Green
  4. Brown
  5. Slate (Gray)
  6. White
  7. Red
  8. Black
  9. Yellow
  10. Violet
  11. Rose (Pink)
  12. Aqua

Extending to 24 Fibers

For a 24-core cable, the 12-color sequence repeats for fibers 13–24. To maintain unique identification, the second set of 12 fibers often includes a black stripe or other distinguishing mark on each fiber, depending on manufacturer practices: 13. Blue with stripe 14.
